dignitas win WESG EU & CIS Regional

dignitas won the WESG EU & CIS Regional after beating .Russia on two maps (16-7 on Mirage and 16-4 on Cobblestone).
Mirage was .Russia's map pick, but the end result would have suggested otherwise, despite Dmitry "hooch" Bogdanov's men getting out to a quick 4-0 lead on the Terrorist side. Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke then single-handedly gave dignitas their first round of the game with a sensational 1vs4 clutch, which was the catalyst for the Danes' seven-round streak.
After calling a timeout, the Russians finally brought dignitas' run to an end, thanks to a trio of kills from Alexey "ub1que" Polivanov, but the Nordic giants kept their composure and closed out the half with a 9-6 lead.
Now playing on the CT side, dignitas were far too hot for .Russia to handle, winning six rounds in a row to reach map point. The Russians still managed to get a round on the board, but they were unable to follow it up as dignitas sealed the deal and took the lead in the series.

dignitas carried that momentum with them into map two, Cobblestone, as they stormed to a 6-0 lead on the CT side. Georgi "WorldEdit" Yaskin then paved the way for .Russia's first round of the map with two opening kills, but they were unable to turn that round into a string, which severely hurt their economy.
Down 1-8, .Russia started to put together a small run of rounds, but dignitas were simply dominant during the final stages of the half as they brought the scoreline to a convincing 11-4 advantage.
.Russia came close to winning the pistol round as CT, but Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen turned hero as he won a 1vs2 clutch. The Russians still tried to get back into the game but to no avail as dignitas won five rounds in a row to lock down the map 16-4.

The third-fourth place decider was a Polish derby between Virtus.pro and Kinguin. Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas's men were highly-favoured for the match and they lived up to that billing, beating the former CSGL side 2-0 (16-2 on Cobblestone and 16-11 on Cache).
