SK advance to grand final over HR

SK Gaming are the first CEVO Gfinity Professional Season 9 finalists as they defeated HellRaisers 3-0 (Dust2 16-10, Overpass 16-14, Cobblestone 16-3) in the first semi-final.
The first map into the first best-of-five semi-final was one of HellRaisers' picks, Dust2, but it was SK who had a flying start to the map as Jacob "Pimp" Winneche and Andreas "MODDII" Fridh combined for five kills.
From there, quite comfortable rounds kept going the way of the Danes before Patrik "Zero" Žúdel and Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný picked up doubles for their first round on the board at 1-8. Their economy was in shreds once they lost the following round however, and SK took two more rounds.
A good retake on the A bombsite gave HellRaisers another round, but from the remaining three they only got one thanks to oskar's fiveseven triple, while Asger "AcilioN" Larsen clutched a 1v3 at the end for 12-3.
Pimp led the way for SK on Dust2
After MODDII got another double in the second pistol round and SK defused the bomb in a smoke in a 2v1, HellRaisers fought back with a forcebuy. The Danes then got a round for 14-5, but the Ukrainian-Slovakian-Czech mixture forced them to save multiple rounds in a row as they got five in a row.
SK then took a timeout and got map point right afterwards thanks to AcilioN's triple and closed the map out right afterwards at 16-10.
Switching over to Overpass, MODDII kickstarted SK's T side with another double in a pistol round, allowing his team to take a quick 5-0 lead after Michael "Friis" Jørgensen won a 1v1 in the second gunround. One round for HellRaisers was quickly replied to, shoving their economy down the drain.
However, Kirill "ANGE1" Karasiow stepped up with a quick triple with a fiveseven in an unfavorable situation, and topped it off with another triple opening in the following round, as his team clawed it back to 4-6. AcilioN's 1v3 clutch stopped the streak in its tracks, but HellRaisers were quick to pick up another one, this time with four rounds in a row, as Vladyslav "bondik" Nechyporchuk finished the half for 8-7 in his team's favor with a quad.
Individual brilliance from Pimp who got four with a fiveseven in the pistol round was negated by their opponents' forcebuy win on the B bombsite. HellRaisers were up 11-8 when MODDII won two 1v1's in a row and immensely helped his team even take the lead right after.
MODDII's clutches got SK back on their feet on Overpass
Another tec9 B push worked out for the European mixture, and with another B execute in a round which was essentially worth two due to economy on both teams, HellRaisers retook the lead at 14-13. Yet another B execute looked sour for them, but oskar managed to make it a 1v1 from a 1v4, but ended up losing the clutch round.
SK used a timeout despite just winning a round at 14-14 and won another afterplant situation thanks to a defuse in a smoke. Soon afterwards the Danes won map two with one of few one-sided situations at 16-14.
Cobblestone followed and it was HR to take the lead after a won pistol round as Terrorists, but SK picked up where they left off against Dignitas yesterday as they put up a wall on their CT side from there on. In the following four rounds Friis picked up seven kills before Martin "STYKO" Styk and oskar got a second round for their team with two doubles in a 3v5.
The hard reset came in right afterwards, and HR decided to force just after one eco, which ended up backfiring as SK kept putting pressure on their opponents. Friis' double in a 2v2 put his team up on 10-2, followed up by MODDII's triple spraydown for 11-2.
When the remaining two rounds went their way as well, things looked sour for ANGE1's squad. The Ukrainian's triple gave them the second pistol round as well, but SK replied once again and continued dominating as they closed the series at 16-3, 3-0.
