ENCE beat HAVU 2

ENCE bested HAVU in a very close Dust2 (16-14) and a fast second map on Train (16-2) to lift the ASUS ROG Winter 2019 trophy in Helsinki.
Following victories over SJ and ALTERNATE aTTaX in the semi-finals, the ASUS ROG final between ENCE and HAVU kicked off on Dust2 with a B rush from HAVU that gave them the first round of the match. AKs and MAC-10s in hand, HAVU followed it up as ENCE tried to push mid to no avail. It was finally the following round, with a full stack of M4s and an AWP, that the CTs were able to get on the board.
Quickly, ENCE took charge of proceedings, as they grabbed on to the lead for the first time after making quick work of a forcebuy play on A. After losing six in a row, HAVU were finally able to pull off an A play to plant the bomb on the back of an opening frag from Aaro "hoody" Peltokangas to go on and take a round. They then followed it up with Olli "sLowi" Pitkänen and Samuli "Twixie" Herrala again opening up the A site from long, bringing it back to within two, 4-6.
ENCE’s grip on the half quickly started to slip as HAVU, with the 16-year-old Twixie at the helm, were able to bring it to a tie before the last round. It was then hoody who opened the round and Petteri "peku" Jaakkola trading him to seal the A execute to take the lead into the half.

HAVU maintained the lead with a clean defense, and won the anti-eco, which they followed up despite lesser weapons in large part thanks to a big B defense by sLowi with an SSG08. On the CT side it was peku who was shining with over 100 ADR after 22 rounds, but his antics weren’t enough to stop ENCE, who had started to chain some rounds of their own together, from making it to 10-12.
Bringing it back to a tie, 12-12, heading into the final stretch of the first map of the series, ENCE had all of the momentum—as well as the economy—on their side, but it wasn’t until the last round of regulation that Aleksi "allu" Jalli & co. were finally able to close it out.

ENCE kicked Train off, their map pick, with an A play on the offense, planting and defending the bomb to take the first round. With the wind in their sails, ENCE quickly set the pace despite being on the harder of the two sides, taking a 4-0 lead. On the fifth round, Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen was the first to go down, and his teammates crumbled behind him as HAVU were able to capitalize on the 5vs4 superiority.
Doubles by Jani "Aerial" Jussila and allu put ENCE back in the driver’s seat, however, as they reset the CTs and kept steamrolling over their opposition. A triple by hoody gave HAVU the second, making it 2-6. Without another big play to follow it up, a double entry by Sami "xseveN" Laasanen on two CTs pushing Main followed by a triple by Aerial kept their team far ahead. Nothing could stop ENCE, who had HAVU eating out of the palm of their hand, as they went on to close out the first half 13-2.
After the teams switched sides, it was up to HAVU to win the pistol round if they wanted to keep the final alive, but they were unable to do it after losing a 4vs5 afterplant situation on B. The #14 team in the world, ENCE, were finally able to wrap things up, 16-2, to close out the final and lift the trophy.
